Photo Viewer Background Color problem in Win7

Today, I faced a problem with the background color of Windows Photo Viewer. It was oddly yellow! yak… do you want to see all the pictures on a yellowish background and even all the transparent .pngs having this yellow thing? I guess not. okk, you may not face this problem unless you are using Windows 7 and not until you have installed the optional update for your display (monitor) from Microsoft.
It is actually a bug and distorts the look of the image especially ones with some transparency designed for white backgrounds. I hope Microsoft will solve the issue; untill they solve do it manually,
  • go to Control panel » Color Management » All Profiles
  • at the bottom of the list under ICC profiles, there should be a profile that is called sRGB IEC61966-2.1. If not, add it.
  • If there is another profile for display listed, like a Samsung or Dell profile, delete it.

Hope, this should fix the problem. You can read more about the problem here. Until then let me thank the internet community and people and forums that helped me find this out.
