I, Khan Muhammad Nafee Mostafa Sadh a.k.a. nafSadh iceSadhhire khanShahib, am a ‘Software Engineer’, currently working in a software development division of Samsung at Dhaka.
I have graduated from KUET majoring Computer Science and Engineering. I worked there on several aspects of computing technology and worked up with some successful student projects. I worked on ‘intelligent home’ with Ratul, Srijon and Rizel under supervision of Dr. MMA Hashem and developed the INTELOME (showcased in BASIS SofExpo 2008). Soon, with Ratul we worked on ‘automated traffic jam recognition using image processing’. This project was named ‘Traffic Window’ and been supervised by Rushdi Shams. Next, I along with Parvej, Ratul and Sourav formed the PSSR Web Engineers group and worked on a project codenamed ‘SeaLand’. This project targeted at developing a community web service that benefit both professional and personal aspects of life.
My undergraduate thesis was on Semantic Web co-authored with Ratul and Sourav and supervised by Rushdi Shams. We suggested a framework called RS2 that will process the web documents and produce machine readable format in RDF collaborated with the OWL (Web Ontology Language). It will help in fulfilling the dream to introduce next generation web, Web 3.0 of the Giant Global Graph.
Besides, I am fond of problem solving with the aid of computer programming and also attended an ACM ICPC Dhaka Regional Contest event on the year 2007 and secured the 11th place. Beyond these, I have been active in several important roles around the campus. I have served as general secretary of Fazlul Haque Hall’s Hall Committee and the Class Representative of KUET CSE 2k5. I was the General Secretary of IEEE Student Branch at KUET.
My hometown is Tangail although I live in Dhaka now. I love to think about my college days back in Rifles Public. I often feel to go back to my beloved school Bindu Basini Boys’ and in the playgrounds of ‘Town Primary School of Tangail’ or sometimes to the lovely ground at Biswas Betka, where I used to run and play all day 😀
Apart from all these, I am the bad boy playing and ‘addafying’ with a huge group of friends; a good boy, playing computer games whenever I find my graphics card relaxed; a movie enthusiast watching whatever kind of movie people make in this planet earth; a genius talking all the bullshit about everything I don’t know; a poet writing nonsense with Bangla words; a linguist speaking correct Bengali; an artist who last touched a brush seven years ago and now rely on Photoshop; a reader who read all the Bengali literature and some English literary work and above all I am Nafee Mostafa Sadh…
